Welcome to Masa Mama Taqueria, the home of tacos so good, they’ll make you question every taco you’ve ever had before. We’re all about fresh, bold, and unapologetically delicious tacos served up in a space where the good vibes are just as important as the food on your plate. Our journey started as a small pop-up called Con Mi Taco, and after some serious taco love from our Calgary community and some other exciting hospitality ventures (see: Fortuna's Row), we knew it was time to give you more tacos. So, Masa Mama was born.

How We Got Here: A Taco Love Story

Masa Mama was founded by Chef Mikko Tamarra, a taco enthusiast with a knack for mixing Latin American flavors with a whole lotta personality, and Andrew Ocasion, a hospitality pro who knows how to make tacos taste even better when paired with the perfect drink. They started Con Mi Taco as a pop-up, and trust us when we say—it took off. With some organization and optimize, we've now opened the doors to Masa Mama, serving up the same delicious tacos (but now with way more room for all of you hungry taco fans).

Our Vision: Tacos, but Better

At Masa Mama, we promise to bring you the freshest, most flavourful tacos you’ve ever had in your life (okay, maybe not ever, but definitely in Calgary). Every taco is made to order with fresh tortillas, packed with bold fillings, and topped with all the goodness we can muster. Whether it’s our carnitas, al pastor, or something more inventive (we like to mix it up), we’re here to make sure every bite is an explosion of flavour.

We’re not just about great food, though—we’re about a great experience. At Masa Mama, we’ve created a space where you can kick back, relax, and eat your tacos in a vibe that feels like home—if your home was full of cool people, good music, and the best tacos in town. (We won’t judge if you stay longer than you planned—our tacos are just that good.)
